Elyse Litton, CSW

Elyse is a Clinical Social Worker with an extensive background in research, higher-education, and direct clinical practice within residential, intensive outpatient and private practice settings. Her experience adeptly serving teen and adult populations guides her aim to meet client needs by utilizing evidence-based and holistic therapeutic frameworks, with expertise in trauma-informed care.

Elyse earned her Master of Social Work degree at the University of Kentucky in 2016. Throughout her duration as a student and researcher at UK, her career experience included significant time working at the Center on Drug and Alcohol Research both at the College of Medicine and College of Social Work. 

Since 2021, Elyse continues to work as an instructor for the Advanced Standing Graduate Program at the College of Social Work, while spending majority of her time working in private practice as a Mental Health Clinician offering individual therapy at the Kentucky Services Wellness Group. 

By striving to help clients determine their goals, providing safety and ease in a collaborative therapeutic space, Elyse believes clients can become more equipped in facing challenges as they arise. Elyse works to empower clients through broadening insight and knowledge, cultivating practical and holistic ways to improve client’s life journey. Elyse is trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy and operates utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, mindfulness and other therapeutic models.

Elyse is also International Review Board Certified, 

Question, Persuade, Refer Suicide Prevention Gate Keeper Certified, and CITI Certified.
