What would your life be like if you woke up tomorrow and everything was just how you wanted it to be? What would be different? Therapy can help you identify and reach those goals. Whether your focus is individual, with your partner, or with a family member - the process can be beneficial and effective. My job is to help guide you through the choices, decisions, and communication patterns that are stopping you from making those improvements or changes. Therapy does not have to be intimidating or anxiety provoking. It can instead be an interactive, thought-provoking, learning experience.

I work with a variety of clients: individuals, couples, and families. I believe that you are the expert in your own life. I am an Air Force veteran, and my husband is a Marine Corps veteran. I am honored, and trained, to work with military members, veterans, and their families.

It has been my experience as a licensed counselor that clients know themselves better than anyone. I see therapy as a joint venture where our knowledge and skills are combined to create resolutions and new pathways.

A good therapeutic relationship includes trust, authenticity, freedom to express oneself and positive outcomes. I specialize in treating adults who struggle with mood issues such as anxiety, depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Bipolar Disorder.

I completed my B.A. at Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Kentucky. My Master's degree was also obtained through Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Kentucky. I am currently enrolled at Capella University where I am finishing my Doctorate in Psychology. I enjoy helping others and making a difference!

Have you ever felt lost or empty in your life? Do you feel like you could be fulfilled but you don't know how to get there? Are you going through a transition in your life and need reassurance or guidance from a non-judgmental place? If so, now is a good time to reach out and explore your own inner strength to make life feel whole again. I work with individuals from all ages, couples in different stages of their relationship, and children who are trying to find their own identity in this world.

I always start where you are the moment we meet. Together, we can develop and build skills to improve different aspects of your life. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to understand anxiety and the automatic thoughts we all have in our life. I utilize a solution-focused approach that way you can feel like you are getting the results you want.

I have experienced life's uncertainties as well: Been married and divorced; Started a career later in life; learned boundaries; self-esteem/body image issues. I have grown from this and continue to learn who I am in the process. This is what I also want for my clients: growth and strength from within. We are not seeking perfection, just acceptance of self.

Your authentic self is waiting for you! Challenging or traumatic life experiences often overshadow our authentic selves. We may feel stuck, lack motivation, or chronically procrastinate. Irrational and self defeating thoughts lead to fear, anxiety, depression, excessive worry, and may manifest in physical symptoms. When we live in this cycle too long it becomes our normal. We may recycle past trauma into present relationships. We find harmful ways to cope; such as people pleasing, codependency and addictive behaviors including, but not limited to substance abuse.

It is possible to change. It is never too late to step onto the path you have envisioned. You can learn to control your thoughts. You can heal from past trauma. You can develop intrinsic motivation to take action and meet your goals. I offer an eclectic approach to therapy. I utilize various evidence based practices to best suit the needs of each individual.

We all have the innate power to live the life we have imagined. Wherever you are on your journey I would be honored to guide and support you toward personal empowerment. You deserve to live your best and most authentic life. Honor yourself and contact me today!

I believe that we are all individuals with unique issues and therapy should be as unique and individualized as we are. I have a passion for helping those who struggle with substance abuse, trauma, self-image/self-esteem, anxiety and relational issues. I feel with encouragement and support, we can process and develop the skills needed to face those issues and move forward. I believe in autonomy and authenticity.

In session, I am transparent and down-to-Earth and I maintain a Humanistic approach during the therapeutic process to assist those I work with to feel as comfortable as possible. Let's face it, talking to a complete stranger about our lives isn't easy, so my belief is to ensure my clients feel completely supported and heard.

I have experience working with populations primarily in the age range of 15-75 years old. I provide medication management to individuals as well as provide counseling to individuals, families, couples. I have multiple families/couples that I have treated off/on since 2015. I specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD assessment/treatment, bipolar, addiction, PTSD, and lifestyle/behavioral changes. I also treat holistically utilizing supplements, herbs, and/or other "alternative" modalities. I do not prescribe benzodiazepines on a long term basis.

The patient should expect an open and honest practitioner who understands the importance of their need to feel a sense of "teamwork," the need to feel validated and heard, and the need to feel a sense of trust with the practitioner. I utilize multiple approaches in the therapeutic process (MBSR, insight-oriented, solution-focused primarily in that order), but initially my goal is to let them know that I am chill, shoot straight from the hip, don't have much of a filter, that I am able to relate to them as a person, and I believe in them. This allows them the freedom to be chill, shoot straight from the hip, and toss out their filter while they are with me. I believe the only difference between honesty and brutal honesty is in the delivery and most people would rather have honesty-which shows my belief in that person's capabilities-over being manipulated/lied to. If I patient desires homework, I have plenty to work on; outside resources are utilized as needed (Voc-Rehab, referral to specialty MD, assistance with finding a specific resource in the community, support groups, etc...). I order labwork, will collaborate with other providers, refer out, and will order pharmacogenomic testing if warranted.
