MEET LAUREN (she/her/hers)
My counseling approach is rooted in the belief that genuine relationships are at the heart of meaningful change. I believe clients grow when they feel truly seen, heard, accepted, and valued for who they are. Building a genuine therapeutic relationship means creating a space where clients can be honest about their experiences, struggles, and pain without fear of judgment. I want to meet each person where they are, listen with empathy, and seek to understand their story rather than simply focusing on the problem they bring into counseling. I believe that feeling understood and supported can allow clients the courage to explore difficult emotions and experiences that they may have carried alone for a long time. I also believe that counseling is not about fixing a person, but about walking alongside them as they discover their own strengths, insight, and capacity for growth. A client’s pain deserves to be acknowledged and respected, not minimized or rushed through. Through a relationship built on trust, compassion, and authenticity, I hope to help clients feel safe enough to be vulnerable and empowered enough to make meaningful changes in their lives. My goal is to create a therapeutic relationship that honors where clients have been, supports them in where they are, and encourages them toward where they want to go.
What makes my counseling unique is the genuine relationship I seek to build with each client. I believe that meaningful growth happens when people feel safe enough to be their authentic selves and know that they are truly seen, heard, and valued. I bring empathy, compassion, and authenticity into the counseling relationship, while recognizing that each client has a unique story, pain, and set of experiences that have shaped who they are. Rather than trying to “fix” someone, I want to walk alongside my clients, meeting them where they are and creating a space where they can explore their struggles without judgment. I believe my approach is unique because I see the counseling relationship itself as an important part of the healing and growth process. I want clients to feel that they are not alone in their journey and that their pain does not have to define them. By building trust and connection, I hope to help clients recognize their strengths, develop greater self-awareness, work through difficult experiences, and discover new possibilities for their lives. My goal is not simply to help clients get through a difficult season, but to develop a relationship that supports them in becoming more confident, resilient, and empowered as they move forward.
