Therapeutic Intake +

A clinical interview and behavioral observation where a Master's-level clinician meets with you to gather history, current symptoms, and context for how ADHD may be affecting daily life.

What is covered:

  • Developmental and medical history: Past diagnoses, family history, and milestones.
  • Current symptoms: Attention difficulties, impulsivity, hyperactivity, and how they impact work, school, or relationships.
  • Behavioral observation: The clinician observes how you present during the session to note relevant patterns.
  • Context gathering: Understanding how symptoms show up across different settings (home, school, work, social).

This initial session helps the clinician determine which assessment path is most appropriate and sets the foundation for the evaluation.

Conners Assessment (Ages 6-18) +

The Conners-4 is a standardized rating scale used to evaluate ADHD symptoms in children and adolescents ages 6 to 18.

How it works:

  • Completed by observers: Teachers, parents, or other caregivers fill out the rating scale based on the child's behavior.
  • Multi-setting picture: Captures how ADHD shows up across home, school, and social settings.
  • Online format: Administered as an online assessment for convenience.
  • Release of Information required: A signed release is needed so that teachers or other observers can complete their portion.

The Conners-4 provides objective, normed data about attention, hyperactivity, and executive functioning compared to same-age peers.

CAARS Assessment (Ages 18+) +

The CAARS-2 (Conners Adult ADHD Rating Scales, Second Edition) is the adult version of the ADHD rating scale for ages 18 and up.

How it works:

  • Self-report or observer form: Completed by the individual being assessed and/or someone who knows them well.
  • Online format: Administered as an online assessment for convenience.
  • Measures key domains: Inattention, hyperactivity, impulsivity, and emotional dysregulation in adult contexts (work, relationships, daily responsibilities).
  • Release of Information required: A signed release is needed for observer forms.

Many adults were never evaluated as children and spend years attributing ADHD symptoms to stress, personality, or simply "not trying hard enough." The CAARS-2 gives adults a clear, documented answer.

Qualified Provider Interview +

The Qualified Provider (QP) Interview is a one-on-one session where a licensed clinician reviews all assessment results, integrates findings, and provides a comprehensive diagnostic determination.

What happens during this appointment:

  • Review of results: The QP reviews scores and observations from the intake, Conners/CAARS, and any additional testing.
  • Diagnostic clarification: The provider discusses findings, answers questions, and explains whether the results support an ADHD diagnosis.
  • Next steps: Personalized recommendations including medication management, counseling, school accommodations, or workplace strategies.

This final step ensures that all information is considered together by a qualified professional before any diagnosis is made.
